Meet the Team

Kassidy Thacker

Director

Kassidy has always believed in the power of film to teach, inspire, and spark change. As a filmmaker, she is committed to telling urgent, meaningful stories that amplify unheard voices and encourage reflection on global issues. Her work spans both narrative and documentary filmmaking, focusing on powerful storytelling that creates awareness, representation, and impact.  She has served as the Director of Photography for Squelch (2025) and First Light (2024), and co-DP of the documentary Isan (2025). Kassidy is currently directing What Remains, a short documentary set for release in May 2026.

Angell Fioretto

Angell is a passionate believer that film and video is one of the few things that unite us. She has a passion for projects that make a political or emotional statement that resonates with all audiences. Graduating with a BFA in Winter 2025, she has worked on a wide range of short film projects including Long Way Home (2025) and Madison (2024). She is currently the producer for What Remains which will release in May 2026.

Alaini Langston

director of photography | graphic design | Social Media Manager

Alaini, serving as Director of Photography, brings a deep passion for the natural world to every frame she creates. An avid camper, hiker, and outdoor enthusiast, she has long worked to capture the raw beauty of America’s landscapes through the lens of her camera. Guided by a lifelong love of the outdoors, she uses her craft to bring audiences closer to wild spaces and to underscore the importance of protecting them for generations to come.

ethan cisneros

1st Assistant Camera | B Cam Operator

Ethan Cisneros (he/him) is serving as the 1st Assistant Camera and B Camera Operator on this project. He is thrilled to collaborate with director Kassidy, whose passion and talent inspire him both on and off set. Dedicated to supporting her creative vision, Ethan is eager to bring precision and care to the technical side of production. He believes this story carries an important message for today’s world and is grateful for the opportunity to help bring it to the screen.

2nd Assistant camera | Website Designer & Manager

An Duong is a filmmaker and multimedia artist. Graduating with a BFA in Film Production and a BA in computer Science, she has always loved creating things in any field, and is a strong believer in the power of creativity and the importance of making and appreciating art and projects to live a more satisfied life. She is excited to be a part of the What Remains team.

Alex Tyler is a director writer based out of Denver Colorado. His pursuit of art has taken him in many different directions. He feels at home making films because it combines technology and art. Alex got into making films in 2020 after he closed his music studio. He studied photography in high school and college. Moving into film was an inspiring transition after producing music for 15 years. He is currently studying film at CU Denver and is projected to graduate in May 2026. He has directed two narrative short films, a documentary and several music videos.

donovan gomez

sound recordist | Post-Production Sound

Donovan is a filmmaker whose specialty is sound recording and sound design. He has worked on many short films in the sound department such as Western Trash (2025) and False Summit (2025), he also produced for the short documentary Dragons In Seattle (2025). Donovan loves the outdoors and is excited to bring the sounds of nature to the screen for What Remains.
